VEAP Food Drive

VEAP Food & Fund Drive: March 17- 21

Edina Public Schools is partnering with VEAP, the Twin Cities largest food pantry, to raise food and funds for local families in need. Please join us March 17-21 as we work to fully stock VEAP’s pantry and support them with financial gifts! With the help of area businesses, organizations, and other school districts, VEAP is aiming high to raise a total of $300,000 and 75,000 pounds of food during this critical spring drive. Every item and dollar have a huge impact: $10 allows VEAP to distribute the equivalent of 30 meals. Thank you for you and your student’s help! During our 2024 drive, Edina collected over 11,000 lbs of food and $8,200 in donations, so let’s beat that number this year, Hornets!

Most Needed Items

Non-perishables + unopened, unexpired items. No bottled water, please.

Good Morning Monday: March 17

Oatmeal, whole grain cereals (Shredded Wheat, Kashi, bran cereals, Chex), breakfast bars

Toilet Paper Tuesday: March 18

Toilet paper, tissues, baby wipes, disposable diapers, paper towels and other paper products.

Wash-up Wednesday: March 19

Laundry detergent, dish soap, shampoo, shaving cream, deodorant, toothpaste and other hygiene items.

Baking Time Thursday: March 20

Flour, cooking oil, sugar, spices, baking powder and other baking essentials

Anything Goes Friday: March 21

Hearty canned soups, gluten-free items (brown rice, wild rice, quinoa, cornmeal; nut flours and butters; rice crackers, GF snacks), birthday party
