Art Adventures
Art Adventures introduces K-5 students to the magic, creativity, and importance of famous artists and their work. Volunteers guide classroom discussions and activities, while students create art projects. A fun way to get inside your child's classroom! 1x per month.
Bike, Walk and Roll to School Days
Join us for Bike, Walk and Roll to School Days! Two mornings a year (1x in Oct and 1x in May), students are encouraged to forgo the busses and cars....and bike, walk, roller blade, scooter, skateboard, or roll to school with friends and family! Upon arrival to school, students are greeted with music, our mascot and more! No better way to start the day!
Book Fair
Kick off the school year (Sept) by discovering new books at our annual Book Fair! Held in conjunction with ConcordFest, this event encourages a love of reading while bringing families together to celebrate the start of another great school year.
BRAVO Music
BRAVO Music introduces our kindergarten students to the magic of classical music through engaging presentations, movement, and fun activities. No musical background (or planning!) needed — the PowerPoints and materials are already prepared for you! 1x month.
Bulletin Board
Help brighten our school by designing and updating bulletin boards throughout the year. Volunteers contribute as they are able: creating fun and engaging displays that bring extra joy and school spirit to our hallways.
Carnival
For one unforgettable Saturday afternoon (April), the school transforms into a carnival extravaganza! Rooms are filled with games, snacks, prizes, and FUN! Carnival is a favorite tradition for students and families of all ages!
Concord Kids in Service
Concord Kids in Service organizes opportunities for Concord students to give back to our community. Through family-friendly service projects and volunteer opportunities, we create ways for our students to give back, make positive impacts and foster the value of helping others.
ConcordFest
ConcordFest is our back-to-school community celebration (Sept) featuring food trucks, music, dancing, playground fun, and time to reconnect with friends and families after summer break!
5th Grade Graduation
The 5th grade graduation committee plans and executes a very special 5th grade graduation. Typically, this is composed of 5th grade parents and 4th grade parents.
Field Day
Field Day (May) is a day full of energy, teamwork, and friendly competition! Students head outside to compete in exciting activities and games alongside classmates and grade-level peers while celebrating school spirit and fun.
Garden Club
Join fellow parents and our garden experts in caring for our school's flower beds and vegetable garden throughout the year. Volunteers help keep our gardens beautiful and thriving, while creating welcome outdoor spaces for students to learn and enjoy. No gardening experience necessary!
Grade Level Captains
Grade Level Captains help build community at each grade level. They organize grade-wide events (park meet ups, happy hours, etc) for parents and/or families. It's a great way to connect each grade level!
Parents Night Out
Parents Night Out (PNO) is our biggest fundraiser of the year! This fun evening (Nov) helps raise critical funds that support our students, teachers, educational programs, community events, and so much more throughout the school year.
Read-a-thon
Read-a-Thon (end Jan/beg Feb) celebrates a love of reading while raising funds to support our school. Students enjoy special prizes, reading challenges, and visits from guest authors who inspire lifelong learning and imagination.
Room Parents
Room parents (usually, 3 per classroom) work closely with teachers throughout the school year to help support the classroom community. Responsibilities may include organizing class parties, coordinating volunteers, communicating with families, and assisting with special activities or classroom needs as they arise.
STEAM Fair
The STEAM Fair (March) is a chance for our budding scientists, engineers, artists, and innovators to shine! Students showcase creative projects and discoveries during an evening dedicated to science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
Staff Appreciation
Let's treat our faculty and staff! Throughout the year, this committee handles: monthly catered staff lunches, monthly stocking of the fridge in the teachers' lounge, staff appreciation week in May and coordinating goodies during fall & spring conferences. This committee is also in the process of updating the faculty lounge with new furniture, paint and some appliances.
Variety Show
The Variety Show (Feb) gives students the opportunity to showcase their individual talents... from singing, dancing, trivia, jokes, magic tricks and more! The Variety show is during the school day with a rehearsal earlier in the week.
VEAP
Our VEAP Food Drive (March) helps support local families and strengthen our community. Students and families work together to collect food and household essentials for neighbors in need.
WinterFest
Bundle up and join us for WinterFest (Jan)! Families gather for a fun evening of s’mores, food trucks, live DJ, outdoor fun, and — if weather allows — sledding as we embrace winter together and break out of hibernation for the night.
Yearbook
The yearbook committee collects pictures throughout the year to help make our yearbook special and fun for the kids.
